Montanique Deshay, LPC-Associate

Supervised by Kimberly Williams, LPC-S

Monti is a compassionate counselor who believes everyone deserves a space where they feel safe, heard, and understood. She values genuine connection and takes a warm, collaborative approach to counseling, meeting clients where they are as they navigate life’s challenges.
She holds her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington and her master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Monti has clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual and group settings. Her work has included supporting teenage girls experiencing anxiety, emotional distress, and self-harm, as well as working with veterans and adults navigating trauma, relationships, and life transitions. Her approach is primarily grounded in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered techniques.
Monti believes healing can take many forms. She values the role of nature, play, movement, creativity, relationships, and other everyday experiences in helping people reconnect with themselves, feel grounded, and grow. She believes therapy can help clients work through difficult experiences and feel empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.
Outside of counseling, Monti enjoys spending time with loved ones, exploring new places, reading, staying active, and making time for rest and self-care.
