Jane Long, LPC
Jane Long, LPC, is a skilled licensed professional counselor with a rich educational background and diverse clinical experience. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Texas and earned her master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. During her internship at the Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County, Jane honed her skills and developed a deep commitment to helping her clients.
Jane is extensively trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also incorporates art and activity-based therapy into her practice, particularly for children and teens. Her particular areas of clinical interest include depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, grief, trauma, and issues within adolescence and emerging adulthood.
What Jane loves most about practicing therapy is creating a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their issues. She values fostering collaborative relationships where clients feel empowered to find solutions for themselves. Jane considers it a privilege to play a role in her clients’ healing processes and takes great pride in witnessing their progress and growth.
Outside of work, Jane enjoys a variety of activities that help her stay balanced and rejuvenated. She loves cooking, traveling, reading, hiking, kayaking, and spending quality time with her family. Jane’s dedication to her clients and her holistic approach to therapy make her a trusted and effective counselor.
